Biodiversity and human health in a warmer world

December 8, 2025 | Copenhagen, Denmark

Connecting ecology and health to shape the solutions of tomorrow.

About

Biodiversity and Human Health in a Warmer World is a one-day international symposium in Copenhagen aimed at exploring the critical links between biodiversity, climate change, and human health.

A symposium to bridge the gap between ecology and health

As biodiversity declines and climate change accelerates, the implications for public health—ranging from immune system regulation to zoonotic disease outbreaks—are increasingly urgent. However, research and policy efforts remain fragmented across disciplines such as ecology, medicine, and public health.

This symposium seeks to bridge these gaps by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing integrated strategies for biodiversity conservation and human well-being. The event will bring together leading scientists, policymakers, and practitioners from diverse fields, including ecology, epidemiology, and environmental governance.
